NOW WE FACE A NEW CRISIS AND NEED YOUR HELP. This spring we have been finding that almost 100% of adult dogs pulled from some shelters are testing positive for heartworm. As such, most no-kill facilities are unable to accept these dogs, and we are unable to transport these sick (but treatable) animals from high-kill facilities to no-kill facilities in the
We urgently need heartworm treatments—Immiticide®, Ivermectin, and heartworm preventive—and veterinary personnel to administer the treatments. If you can provide medication, sponsorship or deliver direct veterinary services, please contact us. Monetary contributions are also appreciated and will help purchase supplies and services (the minimum cost of a heartworm treatment is $300 per dog).
