HELP RESCUE!
I am also a very well balanced dog. The volunteers actually use me to test other dogs for dog aggression. They can bark at me all they want, I don’t care because I know that people will take care of me. I am very obedient and know sit, lie down, stay, shake and roll over. If you want to get involved in a therapy dog program I would be the best companion you could ever wish for. Please consider rescuing me. I am a young male/neutered Labrador Retriever, that urgently needs a chance! These pets are desperatly seeking adoption or rescue into a local no kill facility! Illinois Animal Rescue's
My name is 3-toes. I was named that because I was brought into animal control missing a toe and had a bone sticking out (OUCH). Don’t worry, I got my much needed surgery and I am right as rain now. Doesn’t hurt a bit.
I was found by animal control running with a pack of feral dogs. I was the only one deemed adoptable and I am grateful for my second chance. No matter what I have been through I LOVE people. My life would be content just being able to lean up against someone or to have someone near. Although I am a big boy, I don’t take up a lot of room. When I go on visits I usually find a spot and pop-a-squat, I just want to be in the mix somehow, no extra attention needed. I am very calm, rarely do I jump and I never bark. I am great on a leash and I am generally just happy to follow you where you want to go. The shelters smallest volunteer (who is 7 and weighs about 50lbs soaking wet) walks me on a regular basis. Which brings me to my next point, I am great with kids. I could play shake with them all day. I even like to shake with the paw that is missing a toe because they think its funny looking.
